Joan is a lifetime member of the Royal LePage National Chairman’s Club, and has received the award consistently for over 47 consecutive years, and with her team’s help starting in 1996.

This prestigious membership is given to only the top one percent of the more than 18,000 Royal LePage brokers/sales representatives across Canada each year. She has reached this level of success by keeping up to date on the changing real estate market in the Ottawa area and by ensuring that she provides the highest level of personal service to each client.

In 2018, Joan was inducted into the Royal LePage Hall Of Fame. Members of the Lifetime Chairman’s Club become candidates for the Royal LePage Hall of Fame twenty years after earning their first National Chairman’s Club award. The selection committee considers currently practicing Royal LePage Realtors® who have maintained continuous, unquestionable excellence at the highest level of the profession.

Joan is a dedicated Kanata realtor that personally oversees the concerns of all clients, whether buying or selling, and has designed booklets filled with information and handy checklists for homeowners.

Her carefully chosen staff brings together expertise in such varied fields as creative writing, web page design, and creative problem-solving in addition to the usual office staff skills. “I value my past clients, and after-sales service is an important aspect of my business.”

The Joan Smith Real Estate Family

Although very involved in her business as a Kanata realtor, Joan finds it very important to live a balanced life and to contribute to the community she has been a part of most of her life. As one of the original residents of Kanata and a mother of two girls, she became active in Brownies and was one of the leaders of the first Kanata Brownie Pack. She was also a member of the group that founded the first Kanata Bridge Club.

Joan’s family is very important to her. She makes it a point to have a family dinner one evening every week, without fail, with her daughters Kimberley and Victoria, son-in-law Luc, and grandchildren Jacqueline, Danielle and Sarah. Attending hockey games and spending time at her country home on the lake are activities that rejuvenate the always youthful and vibrant Joan Smith.
