Beaverbrook

Beaverbrook, the original community of Kanata, was carefully planned in the 1960s by Bill Teron and its streets are now lined with beautiful mature trees and it has many interconnected walking paths and parks. Larger lots with bungalows or 2 Storey homes, and some condominiums are available. It is situated just off the 417, north of Campeau Drive, east of Knudson Drive and Weslock Way, south of the Kanata North Business Park, and west of March Road. Since Kanata was once a city of its own, now part of the city of Ottawa, Beaverbrook residents have excellent access to many of the same amenities found in the heart of downtown Ottawa. This neighbourhood is home to schools, such as Stephen Leacock Public School, W. Erskine Johnson Public School, Georges Vanier Catholic School, St. Gabriel Catholic School, Earl of March Secondary School and All Saints Catholic High School. You will also find several churches, many parks, tennis courts and community centres like the John G. Mlacak Centre, which has an arena, a branch of the Ottawa Public Library, and the Kanata Seniors Centre. Additionally, only short drives away are the Kanata Leisure Centre and Wave Pool, Signature Centre, Kanata Centrum Shopping Centre, Landmark Cinemas 24 Kanata, and the Kanata Golf and Country Club.
