We were presented with a well-researched and thoroughly analyzed market analysis of similar homes in the area to determine a pricing strategy for our home. It was presented in a clear and comprehensive manner that put us in an informed position to decide on when and where to place our product home. All questions were encouraged and completely answered to our satisfaction. At no time was there any pressure placed on us to go in any direction.

Preparing one’s home to present a picture-perfect model can be a trying experience. The Joan Smith team obviously had extensive experience in this process and helped us in every way. Their practical advice on what looked best and where was invaluable. They did a lot of the moving things about and had good hints as to where to hide away unwanted furniture etc.
Marketing and Photography
This area was conducted very professionally. We were always consulted and had final approval on the photo material and the marketing leaflet. The resulting on-line virtual tour was impressive and received favourable comments from friends and associates. The bottom-line result was that we had received two offers within 48 hours of listing including the excellent offer that was finally accepted.
Negotiations and Closing Services
There was a small delay in closing due to lack of an available home inspector for the buyer. However we were kept informed of progress and buyer feedback throughout. A small problem resulting from that inspection was quickly resolved and negotiated through Joan’s team to our satisfaction.
Conclusion
We would not hesitate in recommending Joan Smith and her team to anyone as agent in selling their home. They cushioned a stressful process through their professional, understanding and trustworthy guidance not to mention a friendly personal approach.

Our overall experience with your service has been outstanding. I found the knowledge of Luc on appraisals and market evaluation to be very accurate, having had another professional appraisal carried out to find the appraisal prices were within a couple thousand of each other, giving confidence in your service.
The staging was also excellent as the ideas presented I had not seen done before on any of the multiple house sales we had to endure through DND moves.
The photographer used did excellent professional work and was very courteous, definitely an asset to have for your company.
As far as negotiations and closing Luc was very knowledgeable in the process. I was very impressed with the relentless advertising of the house in media MLS, your site and all the local papers & magazines. Impressive to find that pictures were taken again outside the house when it was sunny the next day as it rained during initial photos. Pictures were also taken again within a few weeks when much snow had disappeared.
I can see why the Joan Smith team are still the top 1% in Ottawa & Canada for the last 45+ years. I would definitely recommend your professional service to anyone looking to list their home knowing they would be getting top notch excellent support & results.

My husband and I were selling my mother’s house after she moved into a retirement home. It had 45 years’ worth of ‘stuff’ in it and we barely knew where to start or how to go about getting it ready to show. Joan and her team proved invaluable in giving us hints as to de-cluttering techniques. They visited the house a number of times, inspected what we had done, and patiently provided us with more advice as needed. After we did what we could, they expertly re-arranged some furniture, re-positioned wall hangings and got the house in excellent shape for re-sale.
