Staying in Touch – September 2021

Happy Fall!

RichmondAs Summer is coming to a close we are turning our attention towards the Fall. It is a beautiful time of year in our neighborhoods to enjoy walks, bike rides and outdoor activities.

We are looking forward to a continued strong market. As reported by the Ottawa Real Estate Board the supply of homes on the market still remains low and that is a key factor affecting price increases. Inventory of homes on the market has increased in Ottawa by approximately 5 to 6% compared to last year for residential and condominiums. However inventory on hand is about 1.5 months compared to 4 to 6.5 months supply in a balanced market.

The market has been challenging for everyone, whether you are selling or buying. Pricing your home is so important in being successful in reaching your goal.

As our homes are typically our largest investments, its that time of year to get ready for the colder months. See some tips in this newsletter in preparing your home and gardens that we hope you find helpful. Latest mortgage information to help you obtain or renew your mortgage, as well as what to watch for when looking for the right neighborhood for your family and when looking at older homes.

If you have any questions about the real estate activity in your area or the market, please feel free to call or email us.

Enjoy the Fall!
