Bundle up and come on down to York street Plaza this evening to celebrate the unveiling of the new OTTAWA sign! Enjoy hot chocolate, sleigh rides and choir music. Mayor Jim Watson, Councillor Mathieu Fleury and Mr. Michael Crockatt, President and CEO of Ottawa Tourism, will be on hand to light up the letters for the first time tonight.

Our original OTTAWA sign was first unveiled for Canada’s 150 anniversary in 2017 and has been a popular place to snap photos for Ottawa residents and visitors. With three years of our harsh winters and hot summers, the sign has reached the end of its lifecycle.

When: Friday December 20, 2019 – 6:00 pm

Parking: Available on surrounding streets and in City Parking garages.
