Grass Root Grannies – Ride To Turn The Tide

2019 marks our 8th consecutive year being proud sponsors of Grass Root Grannies.

Grass Root Grannies is a group of friends living in the National Capital Region supporting the Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign of the Stephen Lewis Foundation for the past 13 years. They are also affiliated with The Grandmothers Advocacy Network (GRAN).

This September 4, 5 & 6 Grassroot Grannies is having a three-day bike tour through Eastern Ontario, starting and finishing at the Bustakah store in Stittsville. This it the 10th year for the successful Ride To Turn The Tide. They will be making their way through Aston, Almonte, Perth, Rideau Ferry, Merrickville and Metcalfe and will be hosted by different grandmothers groups along the way.

This years fundraising goal for the 10th year of the ride is $65,000. 24 cyclists are participating this year and each has committed to raise $1,500. In past years, most cyclists surpass their goals by much more.
