Joan is a lifetime
member of the Royal LePage National
Chairman’s Club and has received the award
consistently for 41 consecutive
years.
This prestigious membership is given to only
the top one percent of the more than 14,000 Royal LePage realtors across
Canada each year.
She has reached this level of success by keeping
up to date on the changing real estate market in the Ottawa area
and by ensuring that she provides the highest level of personal
service to each client.
Joan personally oversees the concerns of all
clients, whether buying or selling, and has designed booklets
filled with information and handy check lists for home owners.
Her carefully chosen staff brings together expertise
in such varied fields as creative writing, web page design, and creative problem solving in addition to the usual
office staff skills.
"I value my past clients,
and after-sales service is an important aspect of my business."
Results You Can Count On
Impeccable professionalism, principled conduct
and the highest moral and ethical standards sums up Joan's consistent
success and her way of doing business over the years.
She is a Broker, a Fellow of the
Real Estate Institute of Canada (FRI), Certified in the Marketing
of Real Estate (CMR), and is certified as a Canadian Residential
Appraiser (CRA) by the Appraisal Institute of Canada.
All of these designations are indicative of
a top agent going far above and beyond the call of duty. Aside
from her unsurpassed record of success, one can have no doubt about
what sets this individual apart from the rest.
Two words come to mind again and again: consistency
and service. Joan's personal attention to details for both
buyers and sellers, treating every client with respect, and being
up front when discussing market conditions have become trusted
trademarks of this leading real estate professional.
Experience with a variety of market conditions
over numerous years enables Joan to spot trends and to adapt marketing
strategies to cope with different situations. Her thorough knowledge
of the various home designs in the region comes from working with
large clientele over many years, making it possible to find
exactly what a purchaser is looking for.
Joan finds it very important
to live a balanced life and to contribute to the community
she has been a part of most of her life. As one of the original
residents of Kanata and a mother of two girls, she became
active in Brownies and was one of the leaders of the first
Kanata Brownie Pack. She was also a member of the group
that founded the first Kanata Bridge Club.
She continues to actively support and sponsor many organisations such as the City of
Kanata/Ottawa Canada Day Celebrations,
Annual Kid's Day in the Park (Kanata),
girls' and boy's minor hockey,
women's soccer and swimming, the Kanata youth football, the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation, the REALTORS Care Foundation, the Annual
Jeanne Fuller Red Dress
Charity Golf Classic, the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation, and the Chrissy Predham Memorial Golf Tournament, to name a few (see sponsorship page).
Joan's family is very important to her. She makes
it a point to have a family dinner one evening every week, without
fail, with her daughters Kimberley and Victoria, son-in-law Luc,
and grandchildren Jacqueline, Danielle and Sarah. Playing tennis
and spending time at her country home on the lake are activities
that rejuvenate the always youthful and vibrant Joan Smith.
