Dear Joan:
Well , we had the wrap-up meeting and discussed the things that worked and things that did not go as well.
On the whole it was a wonderful event. Each location had interesting activities and young people had the opportunity to experience how life might have been one hundred years ago. From this point of view, we met our goals and more. We did not sell as many tickets as we would have wished, which was a disappointment after so many months of planning. We had good visibility with local newspapers, CBC and other radio stations. We wished The Ottawa Citizen had supported us with an article.
Anyway, we were extremely pleased and grateful to have you as a site sponsor. Your name was displayed on a sign outside one of the schoolhouses so that visitors and passing traffic were ware of your support.
Many thanks for supporting our Scholarship Trust and encouraging higher education.
