February 2012
Hi Folks:
A big thank you to everyone who participated in making the Family Fun Day & Dinner a great success last Saturday. We had a full house, and full compliment of volunteer helpers. It was an honour for Kaori & me to spend the evening with all of you. I know for most of you it was your first taste of Japanese curry, but hopefully it will not be your last. From what I could see behind the hot chocolate serving counter, it looked like all the kids enjoyed the beautiful outdoor weather!
Through your efforts we raised a net total of $1,199.04 after covering all our expenses.
Steve Clarke will be making a donation of $250.00 to support the wonderful work of the Capital City Condors on behalf of the team & our sponsors Willy's Pizza & Mrs. Joan Smith, Royal LePage. A special thanks to the Mather family for generously assisting in our team donation to the Condors, thanks Dave & Heather.
A special thanks also to our team sponsors, Ziad Elfarou from Willy's Pizza & Mrs Joan Smith, Royal LePage.
Ziad kindly donated all the wonderful pizza we enjoyed Saturday evening. Mrs. Smith donated $100.00 to support the dinner. Both Ziad Elfarou & Mrs. Joan Smith have been wonderfully generous and supportive team sponsors this year. Kanata is a richer and better place because of people like Ziad & Joan.
Thanks,
John Downing & The Kanata Blazers Major A
